EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE
I believe that educating oneself is a never-ending process, so whenever I can take a class to improve my skills, talk to or watch a fellow stylist in action—or even just peruse the latest fashion magazines, I do it.

I was trained at the Aveda Institute, and took classes from Antoinette Beenders, Wachs and Wachs, Yosh Toya, Vivienne McKinder, Tim Hartley, Cyrus Wachs and Ruth Roche. I was also named Juut 2005 Daymaker of the Year for Juut Edina, an honor I appreciate and treasure.

Because I am patient and because of my advanced knowledge and training as a master stylist, I have also been on the other side of the podium—teaching—as an educator/trainer for Juut since 2005.

My clients value my intuitive nature. I know when to be quiet and cut, allowing a client to ease into a restful, pampered mode; and when to ask appropriate questions, chat and be a life cheerleader. No matter what, I make sure that every client leaves happy.

I also value giving back to the community. To that end, I have volunteered at Ronald McDonald House, cut-a-thon fundraisers, Sanctuary for Cancer Survivors, and am on the steering committee for Diva MN, as well as done hair and makeup for runway for Diva MN.

While I continuously educate myself on current trends, I will listen to you and also make style decisions based on a number of factors, including the type of hair you have, how much time you want to put into styling your hair each day and also—most importantly—what will be most flattering on you.

I excel in: short hair, long hair, curly hair, classic looks, bobs, extensions, japanese thermal straightening, bangs, dry cuts, razor cuts, clipper cuts and men's hair.
