Why do prices vary?
As a result of their achievements, our professionals work at three levels: studio, senior, and master. While prices vary accordingly, every JUUT specialist is constantly improving through ongoing education. Whatever level you seek, you'll enjoy superior service with a touch to make your day.

What if I am late for my appointment?
If you are late for your scheduled appointment, we will try to accommodate you, but please understand that your appointment may need to be rescheduled.

How much should I tip?
Tipping for service at a salon is typically handled as you would tipping for service in a restaurant. Generally 10-20% of the total service is appropriate, depending upon how you feel the quality of service was.

My favorite service providers are always so busy. How can I be sure they are available when it's convenient for me?
Many of our most popular service providers are industry leaders and maintain a steady clientele. To guarantee an appointment with your favorite provider, simply schedule it well in advance, even if that means scheduling it before leaving the salon. This guarantees availability with your service provider at a date and time that is most convenient to you.

Do you have a training salon?
In addition to full-price service providers at a variety of experience levels, our Uptown location also rotates a staff of newly hired stylists and technicians four times a year. These service providers are fully licensed, but overseen by educators so they may receive industry-leading advanced training. The services these providers offer are at a reduced price.

Do you offer spa packages?
We invite you to build your own service package so you may choose those services that interest you most. Our staff can help you book several appointments together for a full or half day experience and also recommend services that work well together.

What is the difference between JUUT Salonspa and Aveda?
JUUT Salonspa is the original Aveda concept salon, but we are not Aveda. We use and sell Aveda products in our salonspas, as do other Aveda concept salons throughout the world.

Is this Horst Salons?
Yes. In 1999 we changed our name to JUUT Salonspa.

What does the word "JUUT" mean?
JUUT is shortened from Juuten, a Japanese word meaning "refill". We found that as a first name, it means to uplift humanity and serve others, our personal mission at JUUT.

How did JUUT Salonspa get its start?
In the beginning, over two and a half decades ago, we were part of the Aveda Corporation and known as the Horst Salons. At that time we were the first and only salons to carry the Aveda product line. Since 1991, we have been independently owned and operated by David Wagner. David, a hairstylist, entrepreneur, educator and author, has worked to assemble a team of technical experts and trend advisors who share his philosophy of serving others with the intent of providing replenishment.

Will JUUT donate to my organization?
