What is Google Offers?

On November 21, 2011, Juut Salonspa partnered with Google Offers, a branch of Google that offers daily deals in the Twin Cities. The Juut Salonspa Google Offer is for sale from November 21 to 23, 2011 and valid until February 28, 2012.

 

Where can I use my Juut Google Offer?

The Juut Google Offer is valid at all Minnesota Juut locations, excluding the New Artists Academy in Uptown.

 

What type of service can I use my Google Offer for?

Your Juut Google Offer is valid for $50 towards any service that Juut offers, but it must be a NEW service for you and/or a service that you have NOT experienced at Juut in the past 12 months. When you call to make your appointment, we can help you look up your service history to see which services qualify. Also, since the Google Offer is valid for $50, you may either choose a service that is at that price point or use it toward a service at a higher price point. If you use it toward a lower-priced service, please note that no change will be given. Google Offers are not valid for products or gift cards. Please mention that you have a Google Offer at the time of booking your service and be sure to bring your Google Offer to your appointment for redemption to receive your discount.

Can I use my Google Offer towards tax or gratuity?

No. The Google Offer may be used towards a new service, but may not be applied towards tax, gratuity, products, or gift cards.

 

What is considered a "new" service?

At Juut, we consider a "new" service a specific service that you have not experienced in the past 12 months at ANY of our Juut locations. Example 1: If you used to get your hair cut at Juut 2 years ago but stopped seeing us, you may use your Google Offer towards a haircut. Example 2: If you regularly get your hair cut at Juut in Roseville, scheduling a haircut at Juut in St. Paul does NOT qualify as a new service.

More examples:

-If you have had any type of manicure in the past year but not a pedicure, then a pedicure would be considered a new service

-If you have had any type of facial waxing in the past year but no waxing below the neck, any type of body waxing would be considered a new service

-If you have had a haircut in the past year, a blowout or a shampoo+style would be considered a new service

-If you have had a massage in the past year, a body wrap treatment would be considered a new service

-All color services are considered the same service. If you have had a color service in the past year, choose a service in a different domain such as a haircut, nail service, massage, or facial

-All skincare services (facials, peels, etc) are considered the same service

-All massage services (30, 60, 90, 120 minute) are considered the same service

-You may experience a makeup lesson or application with Google Offers, but you will not receive products as a part of your service

 

What happens if the service is less than $50?

We cannot give change with your Google Offer. If your service is less than $50, you will surrender the remaining balance and receive no cash value or store credit as change.

 

Do I have to make an appointment?

Yes, you must make an appointment. You may call our salons at 612.332.4438 to schedule. There are no restrictions on days or times for the appointment, as long as we have appointments available.

 

Can I show the Google Offer on my mobile phone or should I print it out?

Either way works for us. Google Offers will email you a link that will create your printable Google Offer or you may show us the PIN from your mobile phone/email inbox. You must present either the printed Google Offer or your mobile phone at the time of your Juut appointment to use the Google Offer. If you do not have your Google Offer, you will need to pay full price for your appointment and reschedule another new appointment for a future date.

When does the Google Offer expire?

You must use your Juut Google Offer on or before February 28, 2012 when the Google Offer expires. We encourage you to call as soon as you can to reserve your appointment so that we may accommodate you on the date and time most convenient for you. Once a Google Offer reaches its expiration date, it loses its promotional value. At that time the Google Offer is redeemable at $15, the price you paid for it. The $15 price point is valid until 2016 according to gift certificate laws in the State of Minnesota.

How can I get a Google Offer?

After midnight on November 24, 2011, the Juut Google Offer is no longer available. To receive future Google Offers, visit https://www.google.com/offers and enter your email address to sign up to receive Google Offers emails on a daily basis.

I have another coupon at Juut. Can I combine it with my Google Offer?

No. Google Offer is not valid with any other discounts.

Can I buy more than one Google Offer?

No. You may only buy one Google Offer. You may choose to give it to a friend, but you are only allowed to buy one. Also, only one Google Offer can be used per visit.

What is Shellac?

Shellac is a breakthrough, patent-pending UV3 technology that combines the ease of polish with the permanence of gels. No other products in the market can stand up to the claim – on like polish, wears like gel, off in minutes.

 

Is the Shellac formula “3-Free”?

Yes. Shellac does not include Formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate).

 

Is there any odor to Shellac?

During application, you may notice a slight odor that is less intense than nail polish. After curing in the lamp, residual odor does not remain.

 

Does Shellac removal damage the natural nail?

No. Shellac was developed and tested for years to perfect every aspect of the Shellac process, including removal.

 

Will Shellac last longer than 14 days?

Yes, however you will notice a “line of demarcation” as your natural nail grows away from the cuticle. It is recommended that you adhere to a 14 day re-application appointment, as the adhesion will increase if worn past this point, making the removal process a little more lengthy.

 

Will soaps or other personal grooming products affect the wearability of Shellac?

No. Shellac was developed and tested to withstand the rigors of daily wear.

 

Can I remove my own Shellac?

It is not recommended. To ensure the health of the natural nail, Shellac is a professional only service and only Shellac-trained nail professionals should apply and remove Shellac. Removal is included in the price of a new Shellac application at Juut. If you are not reapplying Shellac, a nominal removal fee of $20 will be charged.

As a result of their achievements, our professionals work at three levels: studio, senior, and master. While prices vary accordingly, every Juut artist is constantly improving through ongoing education. Whatever level you seek, you'll enjoy superior service with a touch to make your day.

We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, personal checks, Juut Salonspa gift cards, and cash for payment of services. While we accept American Express for in-salon services and products, we do not accept it for online transactions.

If you are late for your scheduled appointment, we will try to accommodate you, but please understand that your appointment may need to be rescheduled. Call ahead if you can. Our general number is 612-332-4438.

Tipping for service at a salon is typically handled as you would tipping for service in a restaurant. Generally 10-20% of the total service is appropriate, depending upon how you feel the quality of service was. Tipping is appreciated by our artists as a reward for a job well done, but is not required.

Many of our most popular artists and therapists are industry leaders and maintain a steady clientele. To guarantee an appointment with your favorite artist, simply schedule it well in advance, even if that means scheduling it before leaving the salon. We call it prebooking your appointment. This guarantees availability with your service provider at a date and time that is most convenient to you.

Our New Artists Academy at Lake and Hennepin in Uptown Minneapolis rotates a staff of newly hired stylists, color technicians, estheticians, and massage therapists several times a year. These artists and therapists are fully licensed and overseen by Juut educators so they may receive industry-leading advanced training - much like a Masters Degree in salon and spa services. The services these artists and therapists offer are at a reduced price versus our other Juut salons. Our Palo Alto salon in California periodically has New Artists on staff as well, although not at all times.

Juut Salonspa is the original Aveda concept salon, but we are not Aveda. We use and sell Aveda products in our salonspas, as do other Aveda concept salons throughout the world. We are proud to partner with Aveda and offer their full line of products in each of our eight salons and spas.

Yes. Horst sold his salons to David Wagner in 1991. In 1999 we changed our name to Juut Salonspa.

In the beginning, over three decades ago, we were part of the Aveda Corporation and known as the Horst Salons. At that time we were the first and only salons to carry the Aveda product line. Since 1991, we have been independently owned and operated by David Wagner. David, a hairstylist, entrepreneur, educator and author, has worked to assemble a team of technical experts and trend advisors who share his philosophy of serving others with the intent of providing replenishment. In 1999 we changed our name to Juut Salonspa.

Yes, formulas can be traded among any of our salonspas.

No.  The pricing of haircuts at Juut are based on the experience level of the service provider, and not the length of the client’s hair.  Men experience the same level of service as women at Juut Salonspa and therefore are charged the same price for the service. Our artists receive advanced training on men's hair trends and cutting, so be assured that you will receive only the highest quality service at Juut.

No. Washing the hair strips away its natural oils. When adding color or creating an updo, the natural oils in the hair give it better holding properties and make it easier to work with. While hair should be clean, it is best to not wash your hair the morning of your service.

Yes. Our therapists are trained in prenatal massage, but doctor's approval is advisable. Please be sure to notify your Juut therapist that you are pregnant before your appointment. Juut artists are trained in the side-lying massage position for pregnancy massage.

When arriving for your scheduled massage appointment, you will be greeted by our staff and given full instructions on how to prepare for your massage. Our therapists explain the entire process in detail so that you can make informed decisions regarding your individual preferences and needs for the service to maximize your comfort level. Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to allow adequate time to check-in for your appointment and begin relaxing.

Yes, but for the purchase of Aveda products only.

We recommend that you schedule full day of spa appointments four weeks in advance to be sure you get the ideal date, time, and services that you desire.

For optimum results, hair should be one-quarter of an inch in length.

Yes. Juut Gift Cards are available in any dollar amount, do not expire, and are redeemable for products, services or both at any Juut Salonspa location. Juut Gift Cards are not valid at other Aveda concept salons.

What are hair extensions?

The hair extension service is a service where pieces of hair are bonded to the ends of your natural hair to create a long hair look or add thickness to your natural hair. At Juut we offer Capelli Hair Extensions, Great Lengths Hair Extensions, and Platinum Seamless Hair Extensions.

 

Are hair extensions real hair or synthetic hair?

All hair extensions offered at Juut are 100% authentic human hair.

 

How do the hair extensions stay in my hair?

Hair extensions are bonded to your natural hair with a unique keratin protein bond (Capelli or Great Lengths) or adhesive bond strips (Platinum Seamless)

 

Will hair extensions cause damage to my natural hair?

Hair extensions, if applied and removed correctly, are non-damaging to your natural hair.

 

Will people be able to see the extension bonds?

Juut Salonspa utilizes Capelli, Great Lengths, and Platinum Seamless hair extensions because we feel these extensions are the most natural looking extension processes we can offer to our clients.  They blend very well with your natural hair and look completely natural.

 

How much do hair extensions cost?

A hair extension application first requires a complimentary consultation from a Juut extension specialist who will inspect your hair’s condition and discuss with you your desired outcome.  The price will vary based on thickness of your hair, the texture, and the length you wish to achieve.  A lengthening service generally starts at $1500.  Services for fullness, adding highlights and dimension, or a few flashes of vibrant color can cost considerably less than a lengthening service.

 

Do I pay for the service all at once?

You are required to pay for one half of the total quoted price of the service at the time of the consultation when booking the appointment.  A credit card number will be taken for the balance of the service n the event you cancel the service less than 48 hours prior to the appointment.  Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the appointment will be fully refunded.

 

How long does the hair extension service take?

A hair extension application can vary in length of time, depending on the amount of hair you want and the thickness of your natural hair and the type of extensions you choose. Your artist will discuss this with you during your complimentary consultation.

 

Do I need a haircut after the extension application?

A haircut is required to complete the hair extension service to blend the extensions with your natural hair and create a beautiful, natural looking style.  The haircut price is not included in the quoted price for the hair extension service.

 

What if my hair is colored, permed, or relaxed?

If you color, perm, or relax your hair it is important that you have this done one week prior to the application of your extensions.  We strongly recommend that you return to Juut for all chemical services while you are wearing Juut extensions to ensure that professionals most familiar with your type of extensions are performing the service.

 

With hair extensions, will I be able to blow dry, straighten, or curl my hair?

Hair dryers, curling Irons, flat irons and hot rollers are safe to use with hair extensions.  Be prepared for your regular styling routine to change – longer, thicker hair does take more time to style.

 

How long will my hair extensions last?

Hair extensions will last approximately two to six months, depending on individual hair growth and the type of hair extension service done.

 

How are the hair extensions removed?

Hair extensions require professional removal by appointment with your Juut Extensions Specialist.  Removal can take anywhere from two to six hours based on the number of extensions and the maintenance of the extensions during wear.  An hourly fee is charged for removal.

 

Will any of my hair extensions fall out?

Some extension loss is normal and to be expected.
