Exfoliation Treatment Add-on | 15 minutes, $20

The skin is the largest organ of the body; it protects us from environmental toxins and releases toxins from within our bodies as well. The top layer of skin does not slough off easily by itself, especially for those with dry skin, so it’s important to help our skin breathe by sloughing off the top layers of dead skin on a regular basis.

The benefits of exfoliation are:
- gets rid of surface layers of dead skin
- increases circulation and is invigorating
- brings a healthy glow to the skin and gets rid of chalky, dull looking skin

The skin is the largest organ of the body, so keeping our pores open and sloughing off the top layer dead skin is essential. As we age our skin sloughs off more slowly, exfoliation removes the top layer of skin so the skin can breathe. Well moisturized skin is less likely to get micro-abrasions and small cuts. Well moisturized skin is less likely to develop infections and is less likely to scar. Lymphatic flow increases, detoxifying the body. The use of sea salts introduces minerals to the skin; minerals have natural anti-inflammatory properties.
HYDROTHERAPY - The Vichy Shower
Hydrotherapy services exclusive to our Wayzata spa.
When you receive a Vichy Shower, you relax and float away as seven adjustable jets caress and invigorate your body with about 15 gallons of water per minute, producing an effect of floating on water. The therapist adjusts the temperature, pressure pattern of water so your whole body is massaged, bringing you into a state of blissful relaxation. During the Vichy treatment, you lie on a padded table, with the water jets over you.
